Friday, May 4th, get ready to party for a great cause! The Rotary Club of Newport News and Hampton Roads Event Rentals present Shrimpfest 2018. Enjoy amazing food, music and great company.
Admission includes food, drinks, a DJ and dancing. Dinner includes giant peel-and-eat shrimp, BBQ , sides, craft beer and wine. Featured beers are El Guapo IPA, Vienna Lager, Devil’s Backbone, Larry’s Lemonade, St. George Brewery, Bold Rock Hard Cider, Shock Top and Bud Light.
This is their primary annual fundraiser and ALL proceeds are given back to local charities. Last year, more than $25,000 was distributed back into our community for organizations such as the Food Bank, Habitat for Humanity, Free Clinic, Operation Cat Snip and many, many others. This event will take place at Port Warwick from 5.30-9pm.

Let’s get together and celebrate the love of bacon and bourbon for a great cause! The Fourth Annual Bacon Bash, ‘A Bacon, Beer & Bourbon Affair’ returns Thursday, May 25th. This ever-popular fundraiser is held at the Virginia Living Museum and features local restaurants serving up their most impressive bacon inspired dish.
Guests will sample each offering to cast a vote for the People’s Choice Award given at the end of the evening. In addition, the event will include a Virginia bourbon tasting experience from the historic family-owned A. Smith Bowman Distillery, beer from Virginia’s finest microbreweries, wine, and a variety of non-alcoholic beverages.
This is the Rotary Club of City Center Newport News’ premier charity event. Hours are from 7-9.30, dress is business casual. This fundraiser has sold out quickly in the past so don’t hesitate! Tickets are $50.

Yacht rock, beer tastings and the block party – all to benefit local charities? Count us IN! Saturday, September 10th, grab your friends and head to downtown Hampton for the Hampton Rotary Riverfest and Microbrew Tasting. The event kicks off at 5pm.
Food will be provided by local food trucks and vendors, beers from 10 different local craft breweries and free live music by The River Gypsies and Captain & the Keels. For the non micro-brew fans, regular beer and wine will be sold separately. Tickets are $30 in advance and $35 at the door.
