“Yorktown Holiday Market & Toyland Parade”

The Historic Yorktown waterfront will transform into a Christmas wonderland for the final Market Days event of the year. Enjoy extended hours of 9-3pm on Saturday, December 9th. 

Browse local vendors and shop for wreaths, Christmas gift baskets, gourmet dog treats, fresh breads, baked goods, chowder and more. At 10.30am, be sure to catch a cooking demonstration from Carrot Tree Kitchens of Yorktown.

From 1-3pm, children’s activities will be held in the grassy area near the fountain. Festivities include a colonial Christmas Program from Watermen’s Museum, live holiday music, arts and crafts, and a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus. At 1.30pm, don’t miss the Toyland Parade. Decorate your strollers, wagons, pets, and kids in your most impressive holiday spirit.

“Hampton Holly Days Parade” in Downtown Hampton

This December 9, let the joy of the holiday season take over at the Hampton Holly Days Parade: Holiday Lift Off in honor of NASA Langley Research Center’s centennial celebration. The free event, taking place at 7:00 p.m. in downtown Hampton, is one of the largest annual illuminated parades in all of Hampton Roads.

Hampton Holly Days Parade will feature over 70 units, including beautiful floats, marching bands including high school bands, auto clubs, dance groups, military honor units, and everyone’s favorite holiday guest…Santa Claus!

“Lighted Creek Crawl” in Newport News

Mark your calendars for the Lighted Creek Crawl this Saturday, December 10th at the James River Marina in Newport News. The James River Marina, Warwick Yacht Club and Deep Creek Landing are hosting the event to benefit Toys For Tots. Festivities at the Marina will begin around 2pm with grilling for the cook-out and oyster roast along with a bonfire.

Please plan to bring a new, unwrapped toy as they are accepting donations for Toys For Tots, which will benefit local children in our community. Get in the Holiday spirit and decorate your own boat! The parade will take place at approximately 4.30pm at the Marina. This event is free and open to the public. Feel free to bring your own adult beverages!

“Coliseum Central Holiday Parade” in Hampton

Welcome the Holiday Season with your friends and family at the Coliseum Central Holiday Parade. The celebration will take place Saturday, November 19th beginning at 9.30am. The parade will depart from Hampton Roads Center Parkway and proceed down Coliseum Drive, turn into Peninsula Town Center and finish on Von Schilling Drive.

Featured in this year’s parade will be numerous high school marching bands, large helium balloons, inflatable walking characters, floats, and of course Santa Clause. Pre-parade festivities will being at 8.30am. Following the parade, begin your Christmas shopping and grab lunch in Coliseum Central!
