“Oyster Roast at Captain Chuck-a-Mucks”

What better way to welcome Spring than an oyster roast on the water? Captain Chuck-a-Mucks will host their Oyster Roast Saturday, April 7th.

Captain Chuck-a-Mucks, also known as the Captain’s Secret Hideout #2, is located on Jones Creek in Isle of Wight County.  The restaurant is well known for their exceptional seafood, great customer service and beautiful views.

Bring the entire family out for an afternoon of great food and fun in beautiful downtown Rescue near historic downtown Smithfield.

The oyster roast will offer steamed or raw oysters on the half shell, fried oysters, clams, BBQ and crab soup. There will be drink specials and live music by Chris Ride. Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 at the door. This event is from 2-5pm.

“Oyster Roast” at Hoss’s Deli in Newport News

Hoss’s Deli will host their first ever Oyster Roast Saturday, April 14th. The event will feature live music, locally caught oysters and a fun crowd!

Enjoy a wide selection of beverages, great service and local oysters. Park your ‘bikes out back’ and kick it with the cool kids. Austin Ferguson will perform live and keep you dancin’ all day long. Specials include $2 oyster shooters and a dozen oysters for only $6.

Oyster shell recycling will be provided by the Chesapeake Bay Foundation. This event is from 12-5 and will be held rain or shine.

“City Center Oyster Roast” in Newport News

Newport News Parks, Recreation & Tourism will partner with Harvey Lindsay Commercial Real Estate to present The City Center Oyster Roast. This event will take place Friday, October 20th from 6-9pm.

You’ll enjoy live music, great food, a variety of beverages and other fun activities. Harpoon Larry’s will provide raw and roasted oysters along with other signature favorites. Additional food vendors include Capt’n Crabby, Pennsylvania Dutch Funnel Cake of Virginia, Couture Cakes By Nika and Mama Neem’s Mobile Seafood. Beer, wine and bourbon sales will benefit the Warwick Ruritan Club.

Admission and parking are free. The food is ‘pay as you go’. Dance the night away with The Deloreans 80’s Band and enjoy great food, drinks and friends.

“Shack-Tember Oyster Roast” at Crab Shack on the James

Fall is quickly approaching, which means oyster roasts, beer festivals and pumpkin spice everything. Thursday, September 28th, be sure to attend the ‘Shack-Tember’ Oyster Roast on the river.

Crab Shack on the James is excited to host this awesome event. For this special occasion, you’ll enjoy raw oysters, Brunswick stew, Carolina BBQ, steamed oysters and oyster stew. For cocktail lovers, there will be a Bloody Mary bar and specials on margaritas and draft beer. There will be live music by Scott Holland throughout the evening.

This is an excellent opportunity to catch the sunset over the water, listen to great music and eat oysters! This event is from 5-8.30pm. Tickets are $20 before September 25th, and $25 the day of.

“First Annual Oyster Roast” at The Barking Dog

The Barking Dog in Hampton is thrilled to present the First Annual Oyster Roast for Charity! Saturday, November 26th, spend your afternoon enjoying the sunshine and kickin’ it with friends for a great cause. There will be space allotted in the parking lot of The Barking Dog so feel free to share this with your friends and family.

This event is being held to raise funds for Toby’s Dream Foundation, a charity that is dedicated to bringing unforgettable experiences to children with life-threatening illness by granting them a dream of a lifetime.

The event is from 2-5pm, at 4330 Kecoughtan Rd in Hampton. $25 gets you all-you-can-eat oysters. There will also be some really great items to be auctioned off. Tickets are available for purchase at the Barking Dog. Cheers y’all!

“Oyster Roast” at the Virginia Living Museum

The 5th Annual Oyster Roast is here! Mark your calendars now for Saturday, November 12th from 3-6pm, The Virginia Living Museum is excited to host another fundraiser to benefit the museum’s educational programs and animal care needs.

You’ll enjoy all-you-can-eat fresh local oysters, fried seafood, chowder, sausages, dessert buffets, raffles and more! For beverages, you’ll be able to choose from craft beer or wine. Live music will be provided by PC Duo and Louis Vangieri (LCV Project).

This event has been voted Best of the 757 Gold for Outdoor Festivals 4 years in a row by Coastal Virginia Magazine. Tickets are $50 in advance. $60 beginning November 7th. This event is 21 and up.
