City Center is excited to host the 6th Annual Fall Festival Saturday, October 14. Festivities this year include craft beer, hard cider, wine tastings, artwork and live music.
Browse over 40 vendors featuring seasonal fruits, produce, baked goods and plants. Enjoy the sounds of The Joe Gasman Band and Borderline Crazy live on the Market Stage. The children’s area will offer free hay rides, a craft area, face painting and door prizes.
Beer and wine tasting tickets are available for $30. Discounted tickets are available now until October 10th for $25. This event is free, family friendly and open to the public.

The 44th Newport News Fall Festival of Folklife will be held on Saturday, October 7th & Sunday, October 8th, each day from 10am to 5pm. This family friendly event will take place in Newport News Park. The festival will feature over 150 exhibitors showcasing traditional crafts, heritage trade demonstrations, entertainment, children’s activities, and food.
An exciting new addition to this year’s festival is the Virginia Beer and Cheer area featuring Virginia beers and ciders. New entertainment includes Latin Ballet of Virginia, Fado Nosso, The Rhythm of Ireland School of Dance, Drunken Weasels Border Morris, and Lady Beatricethe Gypsy Fortune Teller.

Join Boys & Girls Clubs of the Virginia Peninsula for a fun-filled, ‘hot’ night in Havana. This event will take place Saturday, October 21st at the Hampton Roads Convention Center.
This year’s themed auction, ‘One Hot Havana Night,’ will feature a cigar roller, steel drummer, salsa dancers, and some of the hottest auction items on the Peninsula. Enjoy cocktail hour and browse hundreds of silent auction items before dinner. Experience exciting food stations inspired by Havana, bid on a brand new car, and enjoy a salsa dancing lesson!
All proceeds benefit members of Boys & Girls Clubs of the Virginia Peninsula. This year’s event is chaired by Tommy & Chrissy Garner and Scott & Tricia Russell.

Fall is quickly approaching, which means oyster roasts, beer festivals and pumpkin spice everything. Thursday, September 28th, be sure to attend the ‘Shack-Tember’ Oyster Roast on the river.
Crab Shack on the James is excited to host this awesome event. For this special occasion, you’ll enjoy raw oysters, Brunswick stew, Carolina BBQ, steamed oysters and oyster stew. For cocktail lovers, there will be a Bloody Mary bar and specials on margaritas and draft beer. There will be live music by Scott Holland throughout the evening.
This is an excellent opportunity to catch the sunset over the water, listen to great music and eat oysters! This event is from 5-8.30pm. Tickets are $20 before September 25th, and $25 the day of.

Fin is excited to announce another awesome event in Port Warwick. Saturday, September 23rd, Fin Seafood will host their 2nd ‘Speakeasy Night’. The private room in the back of the restaurant will be transformed into a Speakeasy for one night only.
This will be an incredibly fun and different cocktail party. Mixologist Robert Gregory will have 5 specialty cocktails paired with 5 vegetable hors d’oeuvres from Chef Kenny. Finally, someone has found a bright side to the end of summer! Saturday, September 9th, Tradition Brewing Company will host a ‘Halfway to St. Patrick’s Day’ party.
The weather will still be decent, so make sure to take advantage of their awesome patio. Play some cornhole, giant jenga or just sit back and enjoy great beer.
The Tasting Room will be open from 12-11pm. Sliders food truck will be on site serving up their delicious burgers and the limited release of Mighty Mick Irish Stout will be available.
Be sure to catch the Bagpiper perform from 2-4pm, championship Irish dancers from 4.30-6pm and The Fighting Jamesons beginning at 7pm. This event is from 4-11pm. There is a $5 cover beginning at 6pm, kids 12 and under are free.

Okay.. not everyone wants to celebrate the end of summer, except for ALL parents! Sunday, September 3rd, plant to attend the ‘End of Summer Beach Party’ at Schooners Grill.
Wear your best beach gear while you still can. Come casual and comfortable and enjoy the outside patio and spacious indoor bar. There will be an incredible lineup of acoustic music all day long.
This event will begin at noon and feature some awesome food and drink specials throughout the day. Admission is free and open to the public.

Let’s go ahead and get our St Patty’s Day party route in place! Friday, March 17th, Tradition Brewing Company will host a ‘St. Patrick’s Day Celebration’. This event will feature a new beer release of Mighty Mick Irish Stout, live music, dancers and more! The Tasting Room will open at noon on Friday for this special celebration.
Sliders food truck will be onsite serving up an Irish dish of corn beef sliders made with Mighty Mick. Beginning at 4.30, the Tasting Room will be filled with sights and sounds of Ireland with 3 Champion Irish dancers as well as a bagpiper. Live music starts at 6.30 with The Raw Beets.
