“Hampton Roads Home Show” at Convention Center

February 11 and 12, mark your calendars for the Hampton Roads Home Show! This event will be held at the Hampton Roads Convention Center and will feature over 100 of the areas best contractors. Come out and see the contractors showcase the latest products and design trends in beautifying your home on the inside and out. Take part in the ‘how-to’ and Q&A sessions at the Garden Gurus Stage. “VA Hot Rod and Custom Car Show” in Hampton

January 7-8, the Virginia Hot Rod and Custom Car Show returns to the Hampton Roads Convention Center. This is a two-day indoor car and motorcycle show featuring some of the hottest classics, hot rods, and customs in the country.

You can also expect to see restomods, pro-street cars, muscle cars, exotics, vendors, a kid-zone, and live music! Ladies, wear your favorite vintage glamour gear to enter the ‘Classic American Sweetheart Pin-Up Girl Contest’.

Hours are Saturday, 10am-7pm and Sunday 10am-6pm.

“American Reef and Reptile Expo” in Hampton

Saturday, December 17th, get ready for the second American Reef and Reptile Expo of the year! The first Expo was so popular over the summer, they decided to bring it back before the holidays. The Hampton Roads Convention Center will host the event dedicated to aquatic, exotic and reptile enthusiasts.

The show will feature multiple vendors, reptiles and exhibitors all in honor of reef and reptile hobbyists. Admission is always free for Military and retired Vets.

Advance tickets – Adults:$12, Seniors, 65+:$9, Kids ages 7-12:$7.

“Bodacious Bazaar” at Hampton Convention Center

We’ve found the perfect opportunity to knock out your Christmas shopping in one place! Come out to the ever-popular “Bodacious Bazaar” November 11-13. This event is highly anticipated and will be held at the Hampton Convention Center this year. Enjoy the three-day shopping extravaganza with your friends and family. The show is designed to promote talented artists, crafters, local businesses and spectacular Virginia wineries.

This event also donates to chosen non-profits each show. Experience Hampton Roads’ most popular shopping celebration with 350 quality vendors in one place. There will also be four Virginia wineries on-site to provide tastings at only $1 each! You may then purchase a bottle or a glass to shop around with.

Hours are November 11-12, 10-7pm. November 13 is 10-6pm. Tickets are $7 for one day and $10 for two days, $4 for children. Advance tickets can be purchased at Countryside Garden Center in Hampton or Anderson’s Showplace in Newport News. Happy shopping!

“Halls of Art” at Hampton Roads Convention Center

Come out to the beautiful Hampton Roads Convention Center to celebrate the talent of Coastal Virginia Artists. Wednesday November 16th, the Convention Center will host an opening reception for ‘Halls of Art XVIII’, a gallery with 40 regional artists and 43 pieces of art.

The artists presented at the event were all chosen by members of the Public Arts Steering Committee. Art featured at the event will be available for purchase. (The center is asking that any art purchased be allowed to remain in the building for six months, however special exceptions will be made). This event is from 6-8pm and is free and open to the public.
