It’s almost time for the most adorable fundraiser on the Peninsula! The 11th Annual Fur Ball Gala will take place February 17th at the Newport News Marriott in City Center.
This year’s highly anticipated theme is ‘Take Me To Paris’. Dress your best and come enjoy French-inspried fine dining and cocktails. Don’t miss the always popular pet parade, silent and live auctions, dancing and more. This event is held from 6-11pm.

The Holidays are quickly approaching, and with that comes wonderful fundraisers. Friday, November 3rd, plan to attend ‘The Brewer’s Ball’, an event held to showcase the finest in craft beer, food and people in Hampton Roads.
The Brewer’s Ball is held each year to raise awareness for The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. All proceeds made will go directly to benefit the foundation. This year’s fundraiser will be held at The Historic Post Office in downtown Hampton. Guests will enjoy hand crafted beer from local brewers and delicious food samplings from the best local restaurants. Dance the night away with live music, take part in a silent auction and mix and mingle with the best and brightest in our area.
Attire is cocktail, with a 1920’s Speakeasy theme. Must be 21 and over to attend. This event is from 7-11pm.

Join Boys & Girls Clubs of the Virginia Peninsula for a fun-filled, ‘hot’ night in Havana. This event will take place Saturday, October 21st at the Hampton Roads Convention Center.
This year’s themed auction, ‘One Hot Havana Night,’ will feature a cigar roller, steel drummer, salsa dancers, and some of the hottest auction items on the Peninsula. Enjoy cocktail hour and browse hundreds of silent auction items before dinner. Experience exciting food stations inspired by Havana, bid on a brand new car, and enjoy a salsa dancing lesson!
All proceeds benefit members of Boys & Girls Clubs of the Virginia Peninsula. This year’s event is chaired by Tommy & Chrissy Garner and Scott & Tricia Russell.

Saturday, September 30th, come out to Alewerks and celebrate a great cause. Tap into Fall with 10 Alewerks craft beer samples and an exclusive firkin of Pumpkin Ale with vanilla and coffee.
Prost! food truck will be on site serving their Oktoberfest-inspired menu including brats, schnitzel and beer braised sausage. The primary beneficiary for this event is the local branch of Warriors at Ease. Prior to the event, at 11 a.m. an instructor will lead a complimentary yoga session.
This year’s event will offer lawn games, live music and a silent auction featuring items such as restaurant gift cards to Merchants Square and rounds of golf at Kingsmill Resort. This event is from 12-4pm. Admission is $25, non-drinkers are $10.

Thursday, September 28th, get ready to dance, dine and donate at the 7th Annual ‘Shag at the Foodbank’. This popular indoor/outdoor event is hosted by the Kiwanis Clubs of Division 13 and will take place at the Foodbank, located at 2401 Aluminum Ave. in Hampton.
Nixon Catering will be on site to serve all-you-can-eat seafood. Menu items include steamed shrimp, clams, crab bites, fried oysters, scallops, and pork BBQ. Bill Deal’s Original Rhondels will perform all evening. This event is from 5.30-8.30pm. Tickets purchased in advance are $40 per person and $50 at the door.
This year, the Kiwanis are having a canned tuna/chicken drive to stock the Foodbank shelves so make sure to bring some goodies. Proceeds directly impact literacy, health, recreation, family support, quality childcare, youth leadership development programs and reduce hunger throughout Hampton Roads.

The Sixth Annual ‘Empty Bowls’ Fundraiser will be held Friday, March 24th to help raise money and awareness in the fight against hunger. The event will be held at the Historic Post Office in Hampton. Local restaurants will prepare and serve chef-crafted soups. Each guest chooses a beautifully hand-made bowl to keep as a reminder of the empty bowls this event helps to fill.
Along with the amazing soup creations, there will be crackers, desserts, beverages, a silent auction, raffle, and a cash bar. The event will be held from 5.30-9pm. Tickets may be purchased for $30 in advance and $35 at the door.

Saturday, March 4th, get ready to party for a great cause! Habitat for Humanity is excited to present ‘Raise The Roof 2017’, Habitat’s premier fundraiser. This year’s celebration will feature a Mardi-Gras theme, New Orleans-fused fare with an open bar, live entertainment by Power Play Band, and some exciting live and silent auctions.
The event will take place at CNU’s David Student Union from 7-11pm. Tickets are $100 per person and sponsorships start at $300 with lots of great benefits.
