“Block Party Returns to Downtown Hampton”

The Block Party is back y’all! Saturday, May 5th, let’s kick off the warm weather with some great live music, family entertainment and refreshments at the block.

Celebrate Cinco de Mayo with Tumbao Salsero this Saturday! This upbeat orchestra consists of eleven members that will keep your feet moving all night long with full Latin percussion. The band features timbales, congas, bongos, trumpets, piano and two lead vocalists. Their repertoire includes many Latin rhythms, such as: Salsa, Merengue, Guaguancó, Son Montuno, Jazz, Bomba and Plena.

This family friendly event is free and begins at 6pm. The children’s area will be open from 6-8pm. Food and drinks will be available for purchase.

“Hampton Cup Regatta” Returns to Mill Creek

September 23-24th, the highly anticipated Hampton Cup Regatta returns to Hampton’s Mill Creek. Get ready for a weekend full of on-the-water thrills, chills and racing excitement. Up to 80 hydroplanes, flat bottoms, and jersey speed skiffs from the United States and Canada are expected to compete.

This year, Hampton will host up to 12 classes of the fastest hydroplanes in North America. Considered the loudest piston-powered racing boats in the world, these hydroplanes are sure to have onlookers marveling. The racing will begin each day at approximately 10.30am and end by 5pm. There will be food trucks, live music and admission to the event is free.

Don’t miss the kick-off party Friday night at Oozlefinch Craft Brewery. There will be live music and food trucks also on site. You are encouraged to bring chairs or tents to enjoy the entire weekend outdoors. Fun for the whole family!

“Celebrate the Park” at Mariners’ Museum

Bring the family out to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of the Noland Trail. There will be something fun for everyone. The celebration will take place Saturday, June 24th, from 11-3pm. Enjoy family activities and games, environmental displays and demonstrations along with raffles, scavenger hunts and much more. Sit back and listen to Bluegrass and folk music on the front lawn. ‘Raw Beets’ and ‘In Laymans Terms’ will perform throughout the day. For lunch options, there will be food trucks onsite. Park, Trail and Lake merchandise will be available for purchase.

“Art After Dark” at PFAC

Peninsula Fine Arts Center is excited to host another ‘Art After Dark’, a creative gathering of art, words, music, and more. The fun will take place Thursday, June 22nd from 5-8pm. This event is free and fun for all ages.

Activities include scavenger hunts and Hands-On For Kids Gallery for the littlest art-lovers. From 5-6pm, the event will feature readings from the Daily Press annual poetry contest. At 6pm, live music will begin by Donnie Kepley. There will be a cash bar with beer and wine. Peninsula Food Truck will be onsite serving up their always amazing dishes.

“Brewgrass Festival” at Oozlefinch

If you like craft beer and enjoy blue grass music, this event is for you! Get your hat and your cowboy boots ready for the Brewgrass Festival at Oozlefinch Sunday, July 16th. This event will feature bluegrass superstars Town Mountain, Brackish Water Jamboree, No Spare Time, and Rob Van De Riet.

Tickets purchased in advance are $20, and $25 at the door. Food will be provided by the Peninsula Food Truck and Deadrise. No outside food or drinks allowed. You can purchase tickets at Oozlefinch, Deadrise, and El Diablo Loco. The fun begins at 2pm. Yee-haw!

“Founders Fest” at Tradition

The much-anticipated celebration is upon us! Cheers to one year of good times, great beer and lots of memories made at Tradition Brewing Company. Get ready for Founders Fest 2017. Saturday, June 24th, Tradition will celebrate in style with live music all day, awesome food, and a new beer release. This will be an outdoor festival to remember for years to come.

The live music line-up includes The Felicia Hoyos Band, Bennet Wales & The Relief, The Dharma Initiative and The Connells! Food trucks onsite will be All About The Cheese, Sliders, and Bros’s Fish Tacos. This event is from 12pm-11pm. Tickets are on sale now for $10, kids 12 and under are free. “Sunset Food Truck Crawl” at Bell Isle

Friday, June 9th, Bell Isle Beach Club & Marina is co-hosting with Hampton Roads Housewives to bring you an evening of fun and excitement on the water. Grab your girlfriends (or your boo) and head out to enjoy the serene atmosphere and the opportunity to meet some cool new people.

Spend the evening eating, drinking, shopping, and mingling at the marina. There will be a plethora of food trucks, giveaways, and swag. The vendors will be holding raffles and giveaways all night! This event is free and open to adults only.
