“PG-500 NYE Block Party” at Amber Ox Public House

Still searching for a fun and unique way to ring in the New Year? Join the cool kids at Amber Ox Public House for their New Year’s Eve celebration!

The ‘PG-500’ Block Party is hosted by the Amber Ox Public House, Precarious Beer Project, and in partnership with The Hounds Tale restaurant. This event will feature live music with the guys from ‘JNW’, southern style barbecue and local craft beer. There will be an outside festival tent, music spun by DJ Dre and local beer stations. Featured breweries include Precarious Beer Project, Virginia Beer Company, Alewerks Brewing Company and Billsburg Brewery.

Enjoy a Southern style barbecue station, delicious sides and Amber Ox’s famous buttermilk drop biscuits. Amber Ox Public House and The Hounds Tale restaurant are open to all event attendees and are featuring special dishes, cocktails and locally sourced wines. One food ticket per person is included in the ticket cost. Admission is $20 per person. The festival tent will open at 7pm sharp and close at 1am. Live music begins at 8pm and plays until 11pm.

“Tacky Sweater Party” at Tradition Brewing Co.

Okay friends, it’s the time of year to find the ugliest Christmas sweater known to man and wear it in public with pride. Saturday, December 23rd, dress in the tackiest sweater you can find and head to Tradition Brewing Company.

Dance the night away to the sounds of Hey Hey Hooligan and enjoy dinner by The German Snack Shack food truck. Cover is $5 and will begin at 5.30pm. Hey Hey Hooligan will play at 6.30pm. All ages are welcome. Cheers!

Sunday, December 17th, Brass Cannon Brewing Company welcomes you to enjoy food by ‘Poor Boys Burgers’, along with all of your brunch favorites. Indulge in tasty breakfast foods like omelettes, biscuits and breakfast sandwiches.

Keep in mind that many of the beers pair well with these dishes. It is highly recommended to try the winter seasonal and The Great Turkish Bombard (Turkish Coffee porter) with brunch. “The Barrel Room” at Tradition Brewing Co.

Celebrate New Year’s Eve a day early at Tradition Brewing Company. Saturday, December 30th, experience the Tasting Room as it will be completely transformed for a special guest and event.

Enjoy a limited release of a special Tradition Brewing Company barrel-aged beer, live music and great company. The Barrel Room will also feature several guest taps for this event only: Buskey Cider, Fair Winds Brewing Company, Center of the Universe Brewing and Smartmouth Beer just to name a few. Word on the street is, they will even have wine!

Circa 1918 Kitchen & Bar will have their amazing food truck on site for your dining pleasure. Live music will be provided by Chamomile and Whiskey. This event is 21 and up, with valid ID required upon entry. Attire is casual cocktail. The brewery will be open from 6pm-12am for this occasion.

“Thanksgiving Eve Party” at Tradition Brewing Co.

The Holiday season is quickly approaching. Along with the those exciting festivities comes cold weather, in-laws and lots of cooking at home. Brace yourselves.

Mark your calendars now for the ‘Thanksgiving Eve Party’ at Tradition Brewing Company. Wednesday, November 22nd, gather your friends and come celebrate the season in style with live music, great beer and some delicious food. ‘Sliders’ food truck will be on site serving up burgers, pulled pork sliders and even cheese steak. You’ll also enjoy the energetic acoustic sounds of Powers & McLaughlin.

Make sure to try the most recent beer release, Baby Bear Oatmeal Stout. The Tasting Room will be open from 6-11pm for this event. Admission is free.

“Brewer’s Ball” at the Historic Post Office in Hampton

The Holidays are quickly approaching, and with that comes wonderful fundraisers. Friday, November 3rd, plan to attend ‘The Brewer’s Ball’, an event held to showcase the finest in craft beer, food and people in Hampton Roads.

The Brewer’s Ball is held each year to raise awareness for The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. All proceeds made will go directly to benefit the foundation. This year’s fundraiser will be held at The Historic Post Office in downtown Hampton. Guests will enjoy hand crafted beer from local brewers and delicious food samplings from the best local restaurants. Dance the night away with live music, take part in a silent auction and mix and mingle with the best and brightest in our area.

Attire is cocktail, with a 1920’s Speakeasy theme. Must be 21 and over to attend. This event is from 7-11pm.
