“PG-500 NYE Block Party” at Amber Ox Public House

Still searching for a fun and unique way to ring in the New Year? Join the cool kids at Amber Ox Public House for their New Year’s Eve celebration!

The ‘PG-500’ Block Party is hosted by the Amber Ox Public House, Precarious Beer Project, and in partnership with The Hounds Tale restaurant. This event will feature live music with the guys from ‘JNW’, southern style barbecue and local craft beer. There will be an outside festival tent, music spun by DJ Dre and local beer stations. Featured breweries include Precarious Beer Project, Virginia Beer Company, Alewerks Brewing Company and Billsburg Brewery.

Enjoy a Southern style barbecue station, delicious sides and Amber Ox’s famous buttermilk drop biscuits. Amber Ox Public House and The Hounds Tale restaurant are open to all event attendees and are featuring special dishes, cocktails and locally sourced wines. One food ticket per person is included in the ticket cost. Admission is $20 per person. The festival tent will open at 7pm sharp and close at 1am. Live music begins at 8pm and plays until 11pm.

“Halfway to St. Patrick’s Day” at Tradition Brewing

Finally, someone has found a bright side to the end of summer! Saturday, September 9th, Tradition Brewing Company will host a ‘Halfway to St. Patrick’s Day’ party.

The weather will still be decent, so make sure to take advantage of their awesome patio. Play some cornhole, giant jenga or just sit back and enjoy great beer.

The Tasting Room will be open from 12-11pm. Sliders food truck will be on site serving up their delicious burgers and the limited release of Mighty Mick Irish Stout will be available.

Be sure to catch the Bagpiper perform from 2-4pm, championship Irish dancers from 4.30-6pm and The Fighting Jamesons beginning at 7pm. This event is from 4-11pm. There is a $5 cover beginning at 6pm, kids 12 and under are free.

“Jamestown Jams: The Deloreans” in Williamsburg

Grab a blanket and pack a picnic for the free summer concert series in Jamestown. ‘Jamestown Jams’ is returning for the second year with rave reviews. Grab your 80’s gear and get ready to dance with The Deloreans on August 4th.

The concert will take place on the grassy field within Jamestown Beach Event Park. Admission is free and open to the public. Snacks, picnics, and non-alcoholic beverages are permitted. Beer and wine are available onsite for purchase. Pets are not permitted for the safety of all attendees. This event is from 5.30-8.30pm.

“Yarn” at Tradition Brewing Co.

Wednesday, July 19th, Tradition Brewing Company welcomes the Grammy-nominated band, Yarn. Yarn is nationally known and appreciated for their Americana roots feel and incredible live performances. “They’re not just a live band, they’re a band for people who want to live.”

Yarn is based out of Brooklyn, New York and is known for hits such as ‘No Future Together’, ‘Listen Up Sweetheart’, and ‘Angel in Woodstock’. This alternative, country, Americana style band will be playing in the Tasting Room of the brewery from 6.30-9.30pm. There is a $5 cover fee which can be purchased online or at the door.

“Celebrate the Park” at Mariners’ Museum

Bring the family out to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of the Noland Trail. There will be something fun for everyone. The celebration will take place Saturday, June 24th, from 11-3pm. Enjoy family activities and games, environmental displays and demonstrations along with raffles, scavenger hunts and much more. Sit back and listen to Bluegrass and folk music on the front lawn. ‘Raw Beets’ and ‘In Laymans Terms’ will perform throughout the day. For lunch options, there will be food trucks onsite. Park, Trail and Lake merchandise will be available for purchase.

“One-Year Anniversary Party” at Schooners

Come out and celebrate the One-Year Anniversary of the new Schooners location! If you haven’t had the chance to check out the awesome new spot, definitely come out Friday, June 16th. There is plenty of room inside and out with extra parking available.

Enjoy outdoor seating on their spacious patio in the sun or under the shade of an umbrella. Schooners also has multiple TV’s located around the bar to catch your favorite games. “Block Party” in Downtown Hampton

The Block Party is back y’all! Saturday, May 13th, let’s kick off the warm weather with some great live music, family entertainment and refreshments at the block! Enjoy beach music and oldies from The Tiki Bar Band. This week only, Jimmy Buffett’s former lead guitarist and one of the Original Coral Reefers, Roger Bartlett will be joining the band, so come prepared to dance.

The concert is free and for all ages starting at 7pm. The children’s area will be open from 6-8pm. Food and drinks will be available for purchase.
