Saturday, May 27th, prepare to be mesmerized by the sounds of the Virginia Symphony orchestra under the stars. The Cook Foundation is excited to host this free family concert ‘on the lawn’ of Main Street and Walter Reed Way in Gloucester. This will be the 11th year that the Cook Foundation has been making music accessible to everyone.
Known as one of the most anticipated events of the year, it is expected to draw over 2,000 people to the Gloucester Village area. The public is encouraged to bring a lawn chair or a blanket and dine on Main Street before the show to receive 10% off at local restaurants. Picnics are also welcome and many of the merchants on Main Street are happy to build you a basket to take to the concert. The show will begin at 8pm.
