“Yorktown Holiday Market & Toyland Parade”

The Historic Yorktown waterfront will transform into a Christmas wonderland for the final Market Days event of the year. Enjoy extended hours of 9-3pm on Saturday, December 9th. 

Browse local vendors and shop for wreaths, Christmas gift baskets, gourmet dog treats, fresh breads, baked goods, chowder and more. At 10.30am, be sure to catch a cooking demonstration from Carrot Tree Kitchens of Yorktown.

From 1-3pm, children’s activities will be held in the grassy area near the fountain. Festivities include a colonial Christmas Program from Watermen’s Museum, live holiday music, arts and crafts, and a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus. At 1.30pm, don’t miss the Toyland Parade. Decorate your strollers, wagons, pets, and kids in your most impressive holiday spirit.

“Go Green Expo” in Newport News

Eat local, go local, live local! The Go Green Expo returns Saturday, September 9th. Come out and experience Hampton Roads’ premier horticultural sustainability indoor event. The Expo is free, open to the public and will take place from 10am-3pm.

There will be many diverse vendors on site, activities for children and earth-friendly lectures. You will also find a Farmers Market, bake sale and exciting chef demos throughout the day.

If you’ve been thinking about starting your own garden or even raising your own chickens, this is the place to be. There will be speakers on site to provide presentations on topics relevant to our environment and the practice of sustainability. The event will be held at Brittingham Midtown Community Center in Newport News.

“Ladies Night Out by the Water” at Bull Island

Here is a Monday you can look forward to! The evening of August 28th, grab your girlfriends and head out to Bull Island Brewery for their ‘Ladies Night Out By The Water’. Hampton Roads Housewives’ is excited to present this ever-popular event.

It will be a great night for networking, shopping local vendors and learning about their featured non-profit organization, Students Run The Streets. “Sunset Food Truck Crawl” at Bell Isle

Friday, June 9th, Bell Isle Beach Club & Marina is co-hosting with Hampton Roads Housewives to bring you an evening of fun and excitement on the water. Grab your girlfriends (or your boo) and head out to enjoy the serene atmosphere and the opportunity to meet some cool new people.

Spend the evening eating, drinking, shopping, and mingling at the marina. There will be a plethora of food trucks, giveaways, and swag. The vendors will be holding raffles and giveaways all night! This event is free and open to adults only.

“Bodacious Bazaar Spring Festival” in Hampton

“Art on the Square” in Williamsburg

The Junior Woman’s Club of Williamsburg is excited to present the 54th Annual ‘Art on the Square’ April 30th in Merchants Square. This event is one of JWCW’s principal fundraisers to support community art initiatives. This show is dedicated to providing original, high quality, handcrafted and diverse mediums of art.

It is located on Duke of Gloucester and North Boundary Street from 10am-5pm. Over 170 artists will be featured and proceeds from the artist booth fees are donated to visual and performing arts organizations throughout the greater Williamsburg area. “French Market” at Riverwalk in Yorktown

Saturday, April 22nd, the sixth annual ‘Sister Cities French Market’ returns to the Yorktown waterfront. The market features all of your favorite French products and will celebrate the spirit of the Saturday market in Port-Vendres, France – Yorktown’s sister city since 1990.

Traditional market products such as fresh-baked bread, pastries, chocolates, soaps, wine, and other fresh food items will be available for purchase. This event is free and open to the public. The market will be open from 10am-3pm at 331 Water Street, Yorktown.
