“NinjaZone” Grand Opening Jan. 20th in Hampton

 The city of Hampton has more exciting news for children and adults alike! Saturday, January 20th, Mayor Tuck will formally “chop” the ribbon to signify the official opening of Gymnastics Inc.’s new NinjaZone.

The 6,500 sqft. NinjaZone is located right next door to Gymnastics Inc.’s current facility at 398 Salters Creek Road. With over 150 ninjas already enrolled, the NinjaZone at Gymnastics Inc. is already the talk of the town.

NinjaZone has  developed an athletic training curriculum to maximize all of a child’s ‘Ninja’ skills. It is inspired by the discipline from martial arts, coordination from gymnastics, strength and agility from obstacle course training, and creativity from parkour and free-running. Classes are led by highly qualified Ninja Coaches. The ribbon cutting will take place at 1pm Saturday.

“Strange Rootz” at Bull Island Brewery

“Freezin’ at the Fort” at Paradise Ocean Club

Saturday, December 16th, come ‘Freeze at the Fort’ for a great cause! The inaugural Holiday Plunge will take place at Paradise Ocean Club from 10am-12pm.

Brave participants of all ages will plunge into the cold waters of the Chesapeake Bay to raise money for the YMCA Guardian program. This program is a scholarship fund which ensures all children get to experience Summer Camp at Fort Monroe regardless of their family’s financial situation. Celebrate the holiday season and get into the spirit of giving by taking the plunge to give a child a week or two of Summer Camp!

“Holiday Market” at the Hampton History Museum

Featuring unique vendors and taking place at the Hampton History Museum, the Hampton Holiday Market is sure to have something for everyone in the family!

This event is well known for traditional arts and crafts, fresh-baked goods, food trucks, a beer and wine garden, live entertainment and heirloom holiday ornament making. The children will enjoy face painting, train displays, retro toys, as well as indoor and outdoor games. There will be free food samples from Lidl, and much more on Saturday, December 9, 10-4pm. Admission to the Hampton History Museum is free all day, 10-5pm.

Also, be sure to head on over to the Hampton Carousel and snap free “Selfies with Santa” from 1-6pm. The first  150 children to visit with Santa will receive a free gift.

“New Year’s Eve Block Party” in Downtown Hampton

Gather your friends and boogie your way into 2018! The Downtown Hampton Development Partnership is pleased to announce the “Disco Inferno” New Year’s Eve Block Party in Downtown Hampton.

Dress the part and feel the funk by local’s favorite, DJ Taylor Haycox. Enjoy food from street vendors as well as the amazing restaurants along Queens Way that will be open for drinks and food.

At midnight, there will be a crab pot drop from the top of the Old Point National Bank headquarters, which will be a must-see.

“Hampton Holly Days Parade” in Downtown Hampton

This December 9, let the joy of the holiday season take over at the Hampton Holly Days Parade: Holiday Lift Off in honor of NASA Langley Research Center’s centennial celebration. The free event, taking place at 7:00 p.m. in downtown Hampton, is one of the largest annual illuminated parades in all of Hampton Roads.

Hampton Holly Days Parade will feature over 70 units, including beautiful floats, marching bands including high school bands, auto clubs, dance groups, military honor units, and everyone’s favorite holiday guest…Santa Claus!

Kick off the Holiday season in Hampton this Friday! Bundle up and get ready to enjoy stunning holiday lights, music and food with the family.

It’s a winter wonderland in Phoebus! Join in for the 6th Annual Phoebus Holiday Illumination Friday, December 1, 2017, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a special holiday tree lighting at 8 p.m.

Phoebus will be filled with a variety of holiday themed crafts, food and music. Santa and Lucky the Dinosaur will be in attendance and the weather forecast is calling for SNOW on Mellen Street!

“Thanksgiving Buffet” at Paradise Ocean Club
