“Steal the Pint Night” at Oceans & Ale

Friday, September 16th, come ‘Steal the Pint’ at Oceans & Ale in Williamsburg. Devil’s Backbone will be pouring four of their finest offerings, and you can steal the glass when you’re done! The event begins at 5pm so get there early. Beer and glassware are limited.

8-Point IPA / American IPA / 6.2% abv. / 60 ibu.

“Art After Dark” at PFAC

Have you been to the Peninsula Fine Arts Center lately? If not, you should definitely go check it out. Right now, they are featuring a really cool theme that everyone can appreciate. ‘Game On: Sports in Ancient and Modern Art’ is currently on display at PFAC. It’s so darn cool, they decided to make a night of it to the public for free!

On ThursdaySeptember 22nd, grab your friends and wear your favorite sports gear for a chance to win the ultimate trophy. Enjoy live music by The Charltones, beer provided by Tradition Brewing Company and food by Sliders Food Truck. You’ll be able to take an interactive gallery tour as well as challenge your friends in badminton, cornhole AND beer pong!

The event is from 5.30-7.30pm. Proper ID is required. We’ll see you there!

“Brazilian Festival” at City Center

Prepare to party on Saturday, September 17th with the 3rd Annual Virginia Brazilian Festival!  City Center at Oyster Point will be beautifully transformed into a Brazilian Getaway.  This event features arts from Brazil, culture, music and cuisine from 1pm-7pm.  Festival attendees will have the opportunity to see dance and drum performances, listen to live Brazilian music and learn to dance like a Samba pro in a workshop! 

This event will also have handcrafted gifts available for purchase, face painting, and delicious authentic food from Tucanos.  It is free and open to the public.

“Mili’s” Grand Opening in Buckroe

Attention Buckroe locals! Have you been to Heavens Pizza & Taphouse? Do you love authentic Philly cheesesteak sandwiches? Well brace yourselves for some great news! Brian Heavens is now opening up another restaurant (conveniently across the street from Heavens) serving grilled ribeye and provolone cheese sandwiched between delicious rolls brought in from Philly.

Alternative menu selections include daily soups, salads, wrap options, a chicken hoagie and a portobello sandwich. Breakfast will only be sold on Saturdays and Sundays. Mili’s Grand Opening will be this Saturday (9/10) from 7am-7pm.

“When the Bough Breaks” Fundraiser

Grab your girlfriends and come out for a great cause. Sunday, September 18th, you are invited to a private screening of the thriller “When the Bough Breaks” at Paragon City Center. By purchasing tickets and attending this special event, you will be supporting the Walk to End Alzheimer’s-Peninsula. Show time is at 4pm, but please arrive by 3.30pm.

Tickets are only $12 and Paragon will donate $6 of each ticket sold to the Walk to End Alzheimer’s- Peninsula. Enjoy the beautiful (and ridiculously comfortable) atmosphere of the Paragon Theater all to support a great cause.

“A Champagne Brunch” at The Chamberlin

A champagne brunch featuring a 40’s inspired fashion show at the historic Chamberlin Hotel? Yes, please! George Kartis will be hosting ‘A Champagne Brunch’ Saturday, September 17th at 11am. This spectacular event will include a pin-up/vintage style fashion show, vintage jewelry and a live performance by the Charles Darden Band.

The Chamberlin was built-in 1927 and has been beautifully maintained. Situated on the Chesapeake Bay and on historic Fort Monroe, the venue and the views are breathtaking. The brunch is a ticketed event at the price of $47.00 which will include food, drink and live performances.
A silent auction will also be held at the event, where 100% of proceeds will be donated to The Red Cross.
