It’s hard to believe we are only 6 months away from Halloween. Saturday, April 28th, Tradition Brewing Company will host a fundraising event to commemorate this glorious occasion.
Come dressed in your best costume and run the inaugural Beer Mile! (Yes, I said ‘beer’ and ‘mile’ in the same line). This event will feature a live DJ, food trucks and the beer mile race. You can also choose to participate in the ‘pay to spray’ water gun stations or enjoy a few games of cornhole. Costumes are encouraged for a chance to win prizes.
If you’re unfamiliar with how a ‘beer mile’ goes down, here’s how it works. Every quarter mile you’ll drink a beer, and must finish your beer before you can continue running. There will be awards for the top male and female runners upon completion.
100% of proceeds made from this event will benefit Students Run The Streets, a local nonprofit organization helping middle and high school students in Newport News.
To register, visit www.TBCBeerMile.com. Please note you must be 21+ to participate in this event. You may still attend the event if you are under 21, but cannot participate in the beer mile.
