“Vintage Finds Market” Hosted by HIP

Attention lovers of all things VINTAGE! Spend your afternoon in beautiful Port Warwick this Saturday, April 21st from 1-5pm. 

Enjoy browsing through several amazing vendors that will be selling unique clothing, accessories and items for your home. Rita Baker of Vintage Haven will be on site, Stifel & Capra, as well as Karen Martin from the Hilton Village shop, Madame et Monsieur. The Coral Caravan from Virginia Beach will also be parked out front, packed full of retail therapy. These boutiques are just a few that will be participating.

Local foodies, including Lolly’s Creamery will be serving up some amazing treats. The one and only Jolly Roasters Coffee Co. will be keeping everyone excited all day.

“Fall Bodacious Bazaar” in Hampton

The Bodacious Bazaar returns to Hampton November 10th, 11th and 12th. This event is held at the Hampton Roads Convention Center and is a guaranteed fun time!

The annual three-day shopping extravaganza is a great way to kick off your holiday season. Browse over 350 vendors and talented artists. Bring the little ones along for pictures and story time with Mr. and Mrs. Claus. New this year to the event is an exciting train display.

The Fort Monroe Foundation will be sponsoring wine tasting events throughout the weekend for an additional cost. Tickets can be purchased online or in store at Anderson’s Marketplace and Countryside Gardens.

“South African Wine Dinner” at Fin Seafood

Perfect date night idea! If you want to seriously impress someone or just enjoy the stellar atmosphere of Fin on a Sunday evening, mark your calendar. August 13th, Fin will host a South African Wine Dinner. This dinner will feature five courses, all paired with an amazing selection of wines.

Enjoy exotic items such as python salad, sumac berry crusted shark, crocodile meat bolognese, and ostrich steak. For dessert, warm malva cake with African guava ice cream and orange butter sauce. Inside Look: Bell Isle Marina in Hampton

So, you’ve heard of Open Mic Night, now how about Open Boat Night? The fine folks at Bell Isle Marina have partnered with the preferred charter, ‘Fightin’ Time’ to bring Thursday evening charter tours.

Recently, I had the pleasure of visiting the marina and took a tour of the grounds. I was pleasantly surprised to see such a large, private beach, a charming family-friendly area with several grills, picnic tables and tents along with an incredibly kind staff. There are beach chairs available for use, a snack bar onsite, and a 60 ft aqua lily pad to play on!

The marina provides the option to rent SUP paddle boards, paddle boats, sea-cycles, hydrobikes, and kayaks by the hour. Bell Isle features a growler-filling station with Larry’s Lemonade, and a few other options from Bull Island and Smart Mouth.

This is also the only local marina that allows month-to-month boat slips. Membership options are $250/year for the first person in the household, then $50 for additional. You can also just visit for a day for a fee of $25.

The Thursday night ‘Open Boat’ charter was so much fun. It would be great for a girls night, family fishing trip, or just to cruise. With a party of 6 people, the Captain will completely accommodate you. We did a little fishing, and we did a little cruisin’. You can also bring your own food and drinks on board. You’ll enjoy 4 hours on the water with Bell Isle Crew and Captain Mac Firth for only $60 per person.

The boat departs at 5pm sharp. You must arrive early to get signed in. Drinks and snacks are available for purchase at the marina store and the boat will provide water, coolers and chairs.

“Wine & Brine Lounge” with Williamsburg Winery

Due to a tremendously successful first Wine & Brine Event at Gabriel Archer Tavern, the Williamsburg Winery is pleased to present ‘Wine & Brine Lounge, Sauvignon Blanc Release’. This highly anticipated event will take place Saturday and Sunday, from 11am-7pm from March until November.

Mark your calendars for the kick-off March 18th and join the Winery in welcoming renowned waterman Chris Ludford from Pleasure House Oyster Company. In addition to world-class wine and brine, there will also be live music and the long-awaited release of their brand new Limited Release Sauvignon Blanc! This will be the first single-vineyard Sauvignon Blanc release by the Williamsburg Winery since 2011 Vintage. No reservations are required.

“Restaurant Week” in Hampton
