First Fridays will take place in and around HIP, located at 2170 William Styron Square S in Newport News. Enjoy an evening of live local musicians, foodies, artists and door prizes.

Stroll through the beautiful Port Warwick Square to participating restaurants and businesses for First Fridays Fun. This event is from 6-9pm and is free and open to the public. Come out and show some local love!

“Hilton Art Show & Porch Walk” in Newport News

Saturday, May 12th, grab your girlfriends for an afternoon of art, shopping and supporting local business. Enjoy a stroll through the beautifully quaint area of Hilton in Newport News.

This event will feature live music, food trucks and a beer garden on site. Take a walk down the commercial district, over to Main Street and to the James River as you enjoy the opportunity to view and purchase incredible local art at the Hilton Art Show.

This will be a juried show with prizes given. The event is from 11am-7pm. (Artist registration is FULL as of April 1st, 2018.)

“55th Annual Art on the Square” in Williamsburg

The Junior Woman’s Club of Williamsburg will proudly host the 55th annual Art on the Square event Sunday, April 29 in Merchants Square.

Art on the Square will feature over 150 artists and a variety of local vendors including Aroma’s, Ben & Jerry’s, Two Drummers and King of Pops. From pottery and paintings to throw blankets and accessories, visitors can shop and support local artists from across the country.

Proceeds from artists’ booth fees and raffle ticket sales are donated to visual and performing arts organizations throughout the greater Williamsburg area.

Art on the Square is free and open to the public. Visitors can purchase raffle tickets at the JWCW main tent for a chance to win an original DePaul painting. This event is from 10am-5pm.

“ART Unplugged: Palms & Pints” at Billsburg Brewery

What a splendid idea for a girls night out! Billsburg Brewery is excited to host Palms & Pints Tuesday, April 17th. Enjoy an evening of great beer, fun company and creative painting. Unplug from everyday life and enjoy the night.

Billsburg is located near the Jamestown-Scotland Ferry and Jamestown Beach Park. Palms & Pints will take place in the large tent on the property from 6-8pm. All levels are welcome and seats are limited, so be sure to buy your ticket now.

Entry is $35, which includes all painting materials and your first Billsburg $5.00 brew on tap. Guests are encouraged to bring an old shirt or apron to protect clothing. Tickets MUST be purchased in advance.

“HIP Innovative Studio Boutique in Port Warwick”

THE coolest, most eclectic shop in Port Warwick has moved inside the Square!
As of December 1, 2017, HIP is now located inside Port Warwick, right beside Thaijindesu. New to the store will be Jolly Roasters, a coffee company offering pourovers, single origin coffee, nitro cold brew, espresso and handcrafted pastries. Jolly Roasters will officially be open for business January 3rd. They will also brew and sell Discover Teas onsite.

HIP will continue to host awesome workshops such as chalk paint, macramé, metals/jewelry design and calligraphy. Beginning January 2018, the boutique welcomes catered events, live music and a nice open space for business meetings. In February, keep an eye out for the bourbon and chocolate tasting event!

Be sure to look for the ‘Blooms & Brews’ workshop with Front Porch Flower Company. These events will feature coffee, teas and classes on how to create amazing flower arrangements. HIP is excited to host pop-ups, trunk shows and even more creative workshops in 2018.

“Holiday Market” at the Hampton History Museum

Featuring unique vendors and taking place at the Hampton History Museum, the Hampton Holiday Market is sure to have something for everyone in the family!

This event is well known for traditional arts and crafts, fresh-baked goods, food trucks, a beer and wine garden, live entertainment and heirloom holiday ornament making. The children will enjoy face painting, train displays, retro toys, as well as indoor and outdoor games. There will be free food samples from Lidl, and much more on Saturday, December 9, 10-4pm. Admission to the Hampton History Museum is free all day, 10-5pm.

Also, be sure to head on over to the Hampton Carousel and snap free “Selfies with Santa” from 1-6pm. The first  150 children to visit with Santa will receive a free gift.

“Fall Bodacious Bazaar” in Hampton

The Bodacious Bazaar returns to Hampton November 10th, 11th and 12th. This event is held at the Hampton Roads Convention Center and is a guaranteed fun time!

The annual three-day shopping extravaganza is a great way to kick off your holiday season. Browse over 350 vendors and talented artists. Bring the little ones along for pictures and story time with Mr. and Mrs. Claus. New this year to the event is an exciting train display.

The Fort Monroe Foundation will be sponsoring wine tasting events throughout the weekend for an additional cost. Tickets can be purchased online or in store at Anderson’s Marketplace and Countryside Gardens.

“Art & Sculpture Festival” in Port Warwick

A wide array of artists’ booths will line Styron Square this weekend in Port Warwick. The Art & Sculpture Festival returns October 14-15th with fine arts, live entertainment, food, beer and wine.

The festival will feature 100 artists, a fabulous lineup of eclectic music each day and a tent for young collectors. Enjoy strolling the square stocked with world-class fine art, gourmet food vendors and family friendly activities.

Don’t forget to visit the local chic boutiques, award winning restaurants and other unique businesses in the Square. Saturday hours are from 10-6pm and Sunday from 10-5pm.
